Katz Radio Group is developing what we call "In-Time Insights" during the Primary Season with its “The Local Vote 2016” research initiative. Katz commissioned Nielsen to survey a representative sample of registered voters across 10 states in the weeks leading up to the Presidential primaries. Voter sentiments are then linked back to these respondents’ local Scarborough data, demographic profiles and media consumption patterns.

In our first wave of data we learned that between 31 and 33% of voters in Colorado, Texas and Virginia have yet to decide on a candidate (undecided) or are not sure if they are voting (turnout targets). Together, we’re calling these folks “The Opportunity Vote”. Our second wave of data identified distinct differences in how candidate supporters and Undecideds use media. STACEY LYNN SCHULMAN

Chief Marketing Officer, Katz Media Group

Stacey Lynn Schulman is the Chief Marketing Officer of Katz Media Group. Stacey brings more than 20 years of media, consumer and marketing research experience to lead a team of marketing and insight professionals across both Katz Radio Group and Katz Television Group, driving Katz’s overall marketing strategy and insights nationwide.

Stacey joined Katz in 2014 as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Analytics and Research providing industry-leading audience and consumer analytics for Katz partners, advertisers and agencies. As EVP, she quadrupled Katz’s proprietary research efforts on behalf of clients and introduced new marketplace tools to showcase the power of local media.

Stacey joined Katz from TVB, the television station marketing association, where she served as Chief Research Officer and was responsible for driving insights on the value of local broadcast television. Prior to TVB, Stacey served as Senior Vice President at Turner Broadcasting where she oversaw sales and marketing research across Turner's entertainment and sports brands and its digital extensions. Stacey joined Turner from The Interpublic Group, where she was the President of the holding company's Consumer Experience Practice. Prior to Interpublic, Stacey served as Executive Vice President, Director of Global Research Integration for Initiative, a media agency within the Interpublic family. Stacey began her career at Katz Communications conducting programming and local market research before moving on to spend several years at CBS.

Radio Ink most recently honored Stacey as one of the “Most Influential Women in Radio.” She was the first research executive to ever be inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement, and was honored as the Gold Medal recipient in the Innovation category at the ARF’s Great Mind Awards. Throughout her career she has been named the most quoted executive in the industry by Ad Age’s Media Talk survey; a “Media All Star” in the research category by Mediaweek; honored as a “Media Maven” by Ad Age; and profiled in Crain’s “40 Under 40 – New York’s Rising Stars” feature. She has been actively engaged with the industry as a board member of The Advertising Research Foundation; former President of the Radio and Television Research Council; and the head of the Big Data committee for The Council for Research Excellence. She also taught at MIT as an adjunct faculty member in their Comparative Media Studies program.

SHAUNAGH GUINNESS

SVP / Station Solutions

Shaunagh Guinness is Senior Vice President of Station Solutions, the team responsible for driving positioning solutions for Katz Media Group’s 4000+ Radio and TV station partners nationwide. Shaunagh began her career at Katz as a Research Assistant with Christal Radio. During her career at Katz Radio Group, she has been promoted to increasing roles of responsibility, including Research Analyst, Assistant Director of Research, VP, Director of Research & Marketing, and SVP, Director of Research & Marketing.

Bringing decades of research and analytics to her current role, Shaunagh now leads the Station Solutions group, a team of media strategists focused on using cutting-edge analytics and insights to build innovative marketing solutions for all of Katz's Digital, Radio and TV sales divisions and broadcast partners. Shaunagh is also a member of the Media Rating Council.
